Three soldiers dead as tank plunges into river in Taiwan

Three warriors were killed when a tank slipped and dove into a waterway amid overwhelming downpours taking after a yearly terminating drill in southern Taiwan, authorities said on Tuesday (Aug 16).

The CM11 protected vehicle conveying five troopers was coming back to camp in southern Pingtung area around 10.30am (0230 GMT) subsequent to finishing the terminating test when it slipped from a scaffold and fell topsy turvy into the Wangsha stream, the armed force said.
